First Stakeholder Meeting SUTMP WindhoekThe First Stakeholder Meeting of the Sustainable Urban Transport Master Plan Windhoek project (SUTMP Windhoek) took place on 4th September 2012 at NamPower Convention Centre in Windhoek, Namibia. The meeting was featured by statements from the Deputy Mayor of the City of Windhoek, Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy in Namibia, Mr. André Scholz, and a key note address by the Honourable Minister of Works and Transport Erkki Nghimtina. After the introductory session, the meeting split up in four parallel workshops discussing urgent issues on non-motorized transport, public transport, road safety and land use planning. Stakeholder consultants will continue throughout the SUTMP Windhoek project during the next weeks.
