Serengeti National Park

The Government of Tanzania intends to better integrate its northern Mara region with its capital Musoma with the Arusha region and the rest of Tanzania. The provision of adequate transport infrastructure is a pre-supposition to reach this goal. First ideas for construction of gravel road through UNESO Natural World Heritage Serengeti National Park (SENAPA) were reconsidered due to international pressure. On behalf of KfW, TCP International is evaluating alternative solutions to improve transport connections and thus accessibility of northern regions while preserving the Serengeti as much as possible.
