Workshop on Serengeti Bypass

A stakeholder workshop in Dar es Salaam was conducted by TCP International on August 26 to discuss the outcomes of the "Pre-Feasibility Study on Transport Options and Trunk Road Concepts to Reduce Traffic Crossing the Serengeti National Park”. Presentations by  Angelika Zwicky and Niklas Sieber revealed that the proposed bypass options will entail considerable economic and social costs and benefits. A lively discussion involving all workshop participants concluded that a fully fledged feasibility study on the Southern Bypass shall be initiated, for which TCP International was commissioned to write up the ToRs.
